Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Clipfox handles and why. The controller is the publisher of the Clipfox service ("Clipfox", "we"). Contact: hello@clipfox.pro.
1. What we collect
- Account: your email address; if you log in with Google, your name and the identifier Google gives us. We never receive your Google password.
- Your videos: the files you upload or the links you paste, the transcript of the speech, the clips we create, and their settings.
- Usage: the minutes used, the history of your videos, and technical logs (IP address, browser, date and time) needed for security and to fix errors.
- Payment: your plan, the status of your subscription and the identifiers Stripe gives us. Card details are handled by Stripe only.
- Messages: what you write to us by email.
2. Why we use it

We do not sell your data. We do not use your videos to train AI models, and we do not publish your videos or clips.
3. Who helps us
- OVH SAS (France): hosting of the service and the data.
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription management.
- Google: login with a Google account, if you choose it.
- An AI provider: analysis of the transcript of your video to suggest the best moments. It receives the text needed for this analysis only, for this purpose only.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case, the transfer is covered by the safeguards required by law (such as European Commission standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).
4. How long we keep it
- Uploaded video: deleted as soon as it has been passed to our processing service. An upload that is never completed is deleted after 24 hours.
- Processing copy: deleted as soon as your clips have been retrieved, and at the latest 24 hours after processing ends.
- Created clips and their thumbnails: kept for 7 days so you can download them, then deleted. Download the clips you want to keep.
- Account data and history (email, plan, and for each video its title, length and minutes used): as long as your account exists. When you ask us to close it, they are deleted, except the records accounting law requires us to keep.
- Login codes: stored in hashed form and valid for 10 minutes.
- Billing records: as long as accounting law requires (10 years in France).
- Technical logs: up to 12 months.
5. Cookies
Clipfox uses only the cookies needed to run the service: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a local setting that remembers your light or dark theme. These do not require consent. We do not use advertising cookies.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to receive it in a portable format, to object to a processing based on legitimate interest, or to limit a processing. Write to hello@clipfox.pro; we answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr) or the authority of your country.
7. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Access to your videos is limited to your account. Files are served only through clipfox.pro, through links tied to your session.
8. Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and tell you by email if the change matters for you.
